Our commitment
UQT, operated by UQG Technologies L.L.C (the "Company", "we", "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. Personal and non-personal information you share with us is safeguarded according to recognised privacy and data-protection standards. Where the GDPR applies to data subjects in the European Economic Area, we abide by its principles. UAE data-protection law applies where applicable to data we process in or from Dubai.
- Your information will not be shared, rented or sold to any third party outside the framework set out below.
- We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access.
- You have the right to control the information you shared with us, including opt-out and erasure rights.
1. Notice
We will clearly inform you when information that personally identifies you ("personal information") is collected. You will have the choice to provide it or not. We generally request personal information when you book a call, subscribe to updates, submit an application through the UQT portal, or contact us by email.
2. How we use your information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To deliver the brokerage and matching services you have requested.
- To route your application to regulated financial-service providers in our network where you have authorised us to do so.
- To communicate with you about your application status, our services, and relevant updates.
- To meet legal, regulatory, AML and KYC obligations.
- To improve the UQT platform and matching engine.
When you place your application with us, we collect identifying information (such as your name, role, email and phone) along with information about your business. If we cannot reach you by email, we may contact the phone number you provided.
3. Consent
When you provide your personal information, you consent that it can be used for the purposes set out in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting compliance@uqt.ae. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
4. Access to your information
You are entitled to review the personal information you have provided us, ensure it is accurate, and request correction or deletion. To do so, contact us in the portal or write to compliance@uqt.ae.
5. Security
We have taken security measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Sensitive data is stored on secure servers with restricted access. Transmission of sensitive information uses Transport Layer Security (TLS).
6. Retention
We retain information as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested, subject to any legal obligations to retain it longer. Information associated with your account will generally be kept until it is no longer necessary, until you ask us to delete it, or until your account is closed, whichever comes first. Records required for AML/KYC and audit purposes are retained for the periods set out in applicable law.
7. EU/EEA users' rights
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, restrict, port or erase your personal data, as well as the right to object to certain processing. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the link in those emails. Transactional account messages are unaffected by marketing opt-out.
8. Sharing your information
Your information is not shared outside the Company without your authorisation, except as set out below. When you authorise UQT to route an application to providers in our network, we share the information necessary for those providers to assess and onboard your business. Each provider is bound by its own data-protection obligations.
We may engage service providers (such as cloud hosting, secure document handling, communications and analytics) who process information on our behalf. Those service providers are bound by data-processing agreements and may not use your information for their own purposes.
In rare cases we may disclose personal information without notice if required by law, court order or regulator, or where necessary to protect rights, property or the safety of users or the public.
9. Opt out
You can opt out of marketing communications by clicking the link in any marketing email, or by writing to compliance@uqt.ae. You may also request deletion of your data subject to legal retention requirements.
10. Linked websites
This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected on the UQT website (www.uqt.ae), the UQT portal (portal.uqt.ae) and during direct communications with us. The site contains links to provider websites and other third-party services. UQT is not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.
